terms and conditions
These terms and conditions govern your use of our ceramics workshop services, classes, and facilities. By booking a class or workshop, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before making a booking.
CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
Bookings are non-refundable. Should you need to reschedule, please contact us at least 7 days before your session. We will do our best to find an alternative date. Requests made after this period cannot be accommodated.
In the event of a no-show without prior notice, no rescheduling will be offered. This policy applies without exception, including in cases of illness or personal circumstances. If payment has not yet been made and the booking is cancelled within 7 days of the session date, an invoice for the full amount will be issued. For multi-session courses, participants are expected to attend all scheduled classes. One absence may be recovered with a make-up session, subject to availability. Should more than one class be missed, only one make-up session can be offered.
In the event of insufficient bookings or instructor illness, we reserve the right to cancel a session. Participants will be notified at least 24 hours in advance. Should this happen, you will have the option of a refund or a transfer to another available date for the same session. For bookings made through EventFrog, please note that handling fees are retained directly by EventFrog and cannot be refunded by us.
FINISHED WORKS
Pieces will be ready for collection at least one month after your session. After the clay is shaped, it requires around two weeks to dry completely before its first firing at 1050°C. It is then glazed (1-2 days) and returned to the kiln for a final firing at the same temperature. Each firing takes approximately 24 hours. Every step of this process is essential and cannot be shortened.
During this process, it is natural for some shrinkage, warping or cracking to occur — this is part of the nature of working with clay and ceramics. Glaze colours may also differ slightly from the original test tile, as results can vary between firings.
We take every care during the firing process, but we are unable to offer refunds for results that don't meet expectations, or for pieces that crack or break in the kiln. These outcomes, while uncommon, are an inherent part of the ceramic process and cannot always be prevented.
Once your pieces are ready, you will be notified and will have 30 days to collect them. After this period, and in the absence of a response to our contact, the pieces will become the property of the studio.
If you would like your pieces shipped, please get in touch and we will provide a quote based on weight, quantity and destination. We package everything with care, but once a parcel is in transit we have no control over its handling. We cannot be held responsible for any damage that occurs during shipping.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Please follow all instructions given by your instructor throughout the session. If you have any medical conditions, allergies, or mobility considerations that we should be aware of, please let us know before attending. This information is kept confidential and is only used to ensure you have a safe and comfortable experience.
Participants under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless enrolled in a dedicated youth programme. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave a session if their behaviour puts themselves, others, or the studio at risk. No refund will be given in this case.
