Ceramics on Wheels offers hands-on pottery team-building workshops for companies and groups in Zürich and across Switzerland. Your team can join us at our Zürich studio or we can bring the workshop directly to your office, retreat or event venue. No previous pottery experience is required.

Clay is simple, tactile, and accessible. It encourages people to slow down, experiment, and create together regardless of artistic ability.

As one of humanity's oldest creative materials, it naturally brings people together. It's also easy to work with anywhere, allowing us to host the experience either at our studio or at your office or event venue. All we need is tables and chairs, we'll take care of the rest.

How it works

‍

This workshop is designed for 2 to 2.5 hours, though we do not intend to rush the creative process. The session can extend until the team feels their collective piece is complete. Therefore, while the program is structured and ambitious, it promises to foster a genuine sense of enjoyment and flow, a loss of time awareness in a light, creative moment.

Structure

‍

1. Introduction

Meet your ceramic artist and learn the basics of working with clay.

‍

2. Individual creation

Each participant creates their own ceramic piece while learning basic hand-building techniques.

‍

3. Collaborative challenge (Optional)

Your team brainstorms and designs a collective ceramic piece inspired by your team, company or shared values.

‍

4. Collective making (Optional)

Everyone contributes to creating the final artwork.

‍

5. Finishing

We handle the glazing and kiln firing after the workshop.

‍

6. Collection or delivery

Once your pieces are finished, you can collect them from our Zürich studio or arrange delivery.

After firing, your finished pieces will be ready for collection at our studio. Delivery options can also be arranged depending on your location and group size.

The facilitators of this team building workshop are professional ceramic artists with several years of experience in constructing large-scale ceramic works, as well as leading diverse ceramic workshops of varying complexity levels. We bring both artistic expertise and facilitation skills to ensure a meaningful and memorable experience for your team.

What's Included?

- All necessary clay

- Complete set of clay working tools: wooden tools, ribs, cloths, water containers, rolling pins for flattening clay, letter stamps, molds

- Wooden boards for working the clay

- Two kiln firings required to finish the pieces created in the workshop, including glazing making the final piece waterproof and ready for any desired use

Pricing

- Teams up to 20 people: CHF 120 per person

‍

Prices may vary depending on location or group size. For a quote, tell us your team size, preferred date, location and whether you'd like to create individual pieces, a collaborative artwork, or both.

‍

We currently offer a 10% discount for groups of more than 10 people.

‍

Each session includes an intensive workshop with practical exercises, featuring one individual piece and one collaboratively created piece.
